Title: Just saying hello
Post by: Hurray Banana on January 28, 2020, 12:57:45 PM
Hi guys

Just thought I'd introduce myself.

Bought a Vec32 ages ago (years maybe  :))

Finally got round to having time to start coding and I'm going to cut my teeth by writing a vec32 version of Oregon Tail following the original source. Funny working with Basic instead of pure 6809 on Vectrex, different approaches and choices to be made.

I'm not going to just whack it in to the vec32, I'm gonna build myself a library of modular text components so I can do flexible scrolling, shacking, fadin etc... text based displays.

Anyhow I'm currently building a display system after my initial half hour of playing with some text display stuff.

Once I get up and running with something worthwhile I'll post some updates

Looks good so far.  Will be interested to see this develop :)

Looks cool so far!  I'd love to see a version with vector pictures of all of the locations like the apple :)

Once it's working I'll try and do a second version with graphics. Might do it like the old adventures where you could toggle graphics and reduce text display
